Industry / Consulting Experience

Prior to the present academic career, I spent about 11 years in industry.The first five years were in executive positions in sales and purchasing in a consumer products company. The next six years were in a multidivisional corporation (textiles, engineering, trading, and shipping services) in general management as Executive Assistant to the Chairman and CEO involved in developing strategies and overseeing implementation. Currently consult with organizations in areas related to strategic management and international business, and with public sector organizations on regional development and organizational rejuvenation.
